Tear-Off Detection

The Tear-Off Detection is used for the web edge guiding with CCD camera if, during operation of the web guiding system, material defects (tear-off) are to be expected on the web edges to be scanned. When a tear-off is detected, the web guiding system is blocked automatically for the pre-selected blocking time. The function detects both tears into the material web (inward tear) as well as projecting material (outward tear).
