Web Width Measurement

The web width measurement enables a continuous monitoring of the material width during the production process. In this manner, tendency toward deviation in the material width can be detected early.

The function continuously measures the width of the web of material and compares the calculated value to the preset target width. The web width measured is shown in the display of the control panel. If the web width measured is less or more than the warning or error limit set by the operator, it is displayed. The controller provides digital message outputs for the warning and error limits.
