Function

The overlaid web edge/web center-line guiding is a combination of a web edge or web center-line guiding and an overlaid feature guiding with the CLS CAM 100 object sensor.

This special guiding function is used for feature guiding with the CLS CAM 100 object sensor when guiding on a print feature where the individual recurring features on the material web have a large distance to each other.

The position of the material web is controlled either by a web edge or web center-line guiding with one or two edge sensors. At the same time, a CLS CAM 100 object sensor in the offset control mode detects the position of the recurring print feature on the web across the web running direction. If the object sensor detects a deviation between the current position (actual position) and the specified target position of the print feature, the setpoint value for the web edge or web center-line guiding is automatically adjusted according to the detected position deviation. In this way, the position of the material web is controlled so that the print feature is held in its specified setpoint position.
