Product Description
The FVG POS 100 sensor positioner is used for the motorized positioning of one or two BST sensors across the web running direction.
It is used
- when the sensors are difficult to access due to their installation position in the production machine.
- if the position of the sensors have to be changed frequently due to the web widths or positions changing.
The linear unit of the sensor positioner is equipped with one traversable sensor slide (on side A or B) or two traversable sensor slides ① (on side A and B). Each sensor slide has its own control electrics and is driven by its own moving stepping motor. On the linear unit with two traversable sensor slides this enables both sensor slides to be traversed independently from each other.
The maintenance-free linear guide ② ensures for a low vibration run and a high positional accuracy of the sensor slides. During the traversing movements of the sensor slides, a cable carrier ③ guides the connecting cables.
The sensor slides are equipped with automatic switch-off devices. These switch off the drive as soon as the sensor slides have reached their outer end position. On the variant with two sensor slides, they also prevent a collision of both sensor slides.
The sensor holders integrated in the sensor slides allow the fastening of various BST edge, reflection as well as line and contrast sensors ④ (see Connectable Sensors).
The brushes ⑤ prevent dust and dirt particles entering into the housing of the sensor positioner.
The sensor positioner is not equipped with its own control elements. The commissioning and operation are carried out using one of the following BST web guiding controllers:
- ekr 500 digital Unit Touch
- ekr CON 600, ekr CON 600 net
- ekr CON 610, ekr CON 610 net
The sensor positioner is supplied ready for connection. The sensors are mounted and connected to the sensor holder of the sensor slides. For commissioning, the device only has to be connected to the web guiding controller.
